1. Eligibility 

  • The Challenge runs from 1 November 2025 to 30 November 2025 inclusive (UK time). 
  • Open worldwide to individuals aged 18 or over. 
  • The total prize fund includes £2,500 in cash prizes across four categories. 
  • Employees, contractors, and partners of Cadence/City Science may participate but are not eligible to win any cash prizes. 

2. How to Enter 

  • Participants must sign up to Cadence and create at least three maps aligned with the daily themes over the course of November. 
  • Maps must be created using Cadence. 
  • All entries (with the exception of the Education category) must be published on social media (X, Bluesky, LinkedIn, Instagram) with the hashtags #30DayMapChallenge and #CadencePrizeChallenge, including a link to the interactive Cadence map, no later than 30 November 23:59 UK time.  For the Education category you can email your entry to: schools@cityscience.com. 

3. Prizes 

  • Best Overall Map: £1,000 cash + 1 year of Cadence Professional. 
  • Engagement Category Winner: £500 cash + 6 months of Cadence Professional. 
  • Education Category Winner: £500 cash + 6 months of Cadence Professional. 
  • Innovation Category Winner: £500 cash + 6 months of Cadence Professional. 
  • Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered for subscription prizes. 

4. Judging & Announcement 

  • Entries will be judged by members of the Cadence team, based on creativity, storytelling, design quality, innovation, and engagement. 
  • Winners will be contacted by their registered Cadence email and announced no later than 15 December 2025. 
  • If a winner cannot be contacted within 7 days, Cadence reserves the right to select another winner. 
  • The judge’s selection is final.  

5. Use of Submissions 

  • By entering, participants agree that Cadence may showcase their submitted maps, names, and social handles across Cadence marketing channels (website, blog, newsletter, social media). 
  • Participants will retain ownership of their content but grant Cadence a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and distribute submissions for promotional purposes. 

6. Data & Privacy 

  • Participants will be asked to sign up to Cadence and provide their email, role, and sector. No payment card details are required. 
  • All personal data will be collected and processed in accordance with the Cadence Privacy Policy. 

7. Fair Play 

  • Entries that are offensive, plagiarised, fraudulent, or that breach these Terms will be disqualified. 
  • Cadence reserves the right to suspend or cancel participation where necessary. 

8. Liability 

  • Cadence is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, corrupted, or misdirected entries, or for any technical issues, system errors, or failures of third-party platforms (including social media). 
  • Participation in the Challenge is at the entrant’s own risk. 

9. Governing Law 

  • These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
