The Cadence team were commissioned by the Cambridge & Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA) to deliver a State of the Region Review and interactive dashboard. The client’s objective was to create a relevant, reliable and accessible evidence base that consolidated relevant insights to inform regional policies.
The Cadence team worked with regional stakeholders to identify the most relevant data sources, and establish a curated, high-quality databank to provide a single version of the truth. The team worked with users and stakeholders to understand their needs and developed a regional data observatory solution that combined multiple interactive channels to maximise engagement with the regions data.
The solution included:
- Cadence Stories to provide interactive walk throughs and narratives of key data from across the region
- Cadence Maps to enable web-based interaction with all of the data, enabling users to drill down into local communities
- A curated dashboard, providing interactive visualisation of time-series and other data in the most relevant way to help accelerate insights
Outcomes
The Cadence team delivered a step change in regional dashboarding, developing a trusted, comprehensive and engaging solution that will provide a long-term asset to the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough region.
